  6. Copy of the host’s ID or copy of residential status, (permanent residence permit or work permit and passport bio-data pages (photo page and address/parents page (INDIAN PASSPORTS) and Host ID copy attested by commissioner of OATHS or South African Police (South Africa)
  7. Residence proof of host form south Africa(attested)

  9. Copies of passport bio-data pages (photo page and address/parents page (INDIAN PASSPORTS).
  10. Original covering letter signed by the applicant.

  11. Marriage certificate, where applicable (For verification purpose applicant needs to carry the Original Marriage Certificate at the time of submission at VFS Centre)
  12. Radiological Report issued by a registered radiologist certifying that the applicant has been examined by him or her with regard to active pulmonary TB signs. Report not older than 6 months at time of submission. Not applicable to under 12 years and pregnant women.(For submission in Mumbai, Pune ,Goa and Bangalore Radiological Report should be on doctors/Clinic/Hospital- letterhead and not on the preprescribed format given under the forms)
  13. Medical Report issued by registered medical practioner with regard to applicant's general state of health. Report not older than 6 months at time of submission. (For submission in Mumbai, Pune ,Goa and Bangalore Medical Report should be on doctors/Clinic/Hospital- letterhead and not on the preprescribed format given under the forms)
  14. Police clearance certificate (above 18 years) from MEA.
  15. Original covering letter signed by the applicant stating the name, passport number of applicant(s) and duration of visit. Letter must have the physical address, as well as contact details of authorized signature’s name, designation and signature (should clearly mention who will bear the expenses of the trip)

    1. Minor child applying for dependent visa where in inviter parent is in South Africa then they have to visit either Department of Home Affairs office or South African Police station in South Africa to get the Parental Consent Affidavit form attested. Once attestation is done they have to send clear scan attested copy to the parent available in India. During the time of submission at VFS that copy should be attached as part of the minor child application (mandatory). Once submission is done the other parent available in India does not need to visit Consulate to carry out the procedure.
    2. Minors who apply for a South African visa at VFS service-point shall be required to submit the attested copy of Parental Consent Affidavit less than 4 months old as part of the application.
    3. If minor child accompanied by someone other than a parent and both parent present in India then for Parental Consent Affidavit procedure both parents have to mandatorily visit South Africa Consulate Mumbai from Monday to Thursday between 9:00 to 12:00 before coming for submission at VFS. Once attestation is done original should be kept for their records and copy must be submitted as part of minor child application.
    4. If unabridged birth certificate is in local language than English translation affidavit must be produce along with local language unabridged birth certificate.
