Yellow fever certificate requirements for South African immigrants

Current changes have been made in the WHO and IHR which means that yellow fever vaccination has now switched its boundaries to have a lifetime validation for international travelers.

Conditions to get an entry in South Africa:

To enter in South Africa, yellow fever certificate is required from foreign travelers who have traveled through yellow fever affected places. Earlier, the validity of yellow fever was only 10 years.

However, World health organization suggested the changes and updates in the month of May 2014, saying that a one dose of yellow fever vaccination grants lifelong safety from the sickness.

The validation of lifetime only applies to yellow fever vaccine issued following changes made in 11 July 2016.
